Upper Cape Fear River Basin Association
The Upper Cape Fear River Basin Association is a coalition of local governments and
local industries that was created in February of 2000. The Piedmont Triad Council of
Governments and Triangle J Council of Governments provide staff support for this

Little Troublesome Fecal Coliform Bacteria TMDL Implementation Plan
Little Troublesome Creek in Reidsville is impaired for fecal coliform bacteria. It is one
the State's 303d list for fecal coliform bacteria and a TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) was
written in 2002. PTCOG obtained a 319 grant to write the fecal coliform bacteria TMDL implementation plan. This project is scheduled to start in October 2003.

The Piedmont Triad Council of Governments in partnership with
NC State University recently created a bio-retention area in
Graham and a wetland in Reidsville. Please see
accompanying picture presentations for more information.
