Annual Population Estimates & Projections

Annual estimates are available for all counties and municipalities. Population projections and annual estimates of population by race and by age are available only for counties. All files are in [PDF] format.

American Community Survey

The ACS is an on-going survey with data releases annually.  The ACS has replaced the long form data from the decennial census.  Sample data, like income, education, poverty, housing values, etc., is now released yearly instead of once every 10 years

2009 ACS 1-year data (for areas of 60,000 or more people)
2006-2008 ACS 3-year data (for areas of 20,000 or more people)

2005-2010 ACS 5-year data for all geographic entities (NEW - December 2010)

* Note that cities and towns are called “places” in census geography.
