Emergency Medical Services
PTCOG staff act as a liaison between the counties, providers, hospital personnel, NC Office of Emergency Medical Services, and others to ensure continuation of regional EMS system development. Services include
- Maintenance of a statewide NC EMS training calendar - information on classes appropriate for public safety personnel is updated twice monthly.
- Staff service to the regional EMS Advisory Council
- Recertification testing for EMS technicians through paramedics
- Regional Lending Library - CPR and various other equipment is available for use in training
- Municipal training is available, including OSHA, CPR, and AED instruction
