The PTCOG merged with the NWPCOG on July 1, 2011 to become the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC).  The PTRC is the lead regional organization for a 12-county region that includes Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes,  Surry, and Yadkin Counties.
