A division of the Piedmont Triad Council of Governments, the Area Agency on Aging is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and coordinating aging services for seven counties in the Piedmont Triad (Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Guilford, Montgomery, Randolph, and Rockingham) and their 185,000 residents age 60 and older. It is a part of a larger aging network created by the Older American’s Act of 1965 dedicated to improving the lives of older Americans nationwide.
