Committees and Volunteers

Volunteers are extremely important to the operation of all services and opportunities offered through the Piedmont Triad Area Agency on Aging. Older adults, caregivers, general consumers, service provider staff contribute to the need analysis and program development in programs within communities and within long term care facilities. A seven county Regional Advisory Board supports activities and decisions made by area agency on aging staff. Community advisory committees in each county walk the halls of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

A major goal in all that is accomplished through the work of the area agency on aging is that local citizens are at the forefront of decision making within their communities.
